10th Congressional Democrats Trained by Convicted Felon

A suburban Democratic organization, the 10th Congressional Democrats, has admittedly organized a “training” seminar conducted by the convicted felon, Bob Creamer. Creamer, the husband of U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), pleaded guilty yesterday to a federal bank fraud charge for orchestrating a complex check-kiting scheme involving his liberal agency, Illinois Public Action.

Earlier this year, the so-called “10th Dems” organized the training in which Democratic candidates “who are considering future runs for elective office” could learn from insiders such as Creamer. As stated on their website, the 10th Congressional Democrats is a group with an objective to “Recruit & train new precinct committeemen/women”.

Today, many people are questioning the type of political tactics that convicts and political hacks impart in trainings such as the one recently held by the 10th Dems. The number of complaints of henchman tactics in the collar counties has risen in the last several election cycles.

The 10th Congressional Democrats’ website lists an address as a Post Office Box in Deerfield, IL. Multiple calls to a phone number listed on their site went straight to voicemail without ringing. At this time, there is no confirmation that the 10th Dems’ involvement with a convicted felon has forced the group's officers to terminate the group.
